ABOUT US

Mu Phi Epsilon is a Co-Educational International Professional Music Fraternity. Butler University was the 10th campus to have a Mu Phi chapter installed. The Kappa Chapter was originally installed at the Metropolitan School of Music in 1906, the chapter followed the school as they combined with the Indiana College of Fine Arts, creating the Arthur Jordan Conservatory of Music. In 1953 the Arthur Jordan Conservatory of Music combined with long collaborator Butler University which is where the Kappa chapter is currently housed. The Kappa chapter has had continual membership in its 116 year history and we are the oldest active chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon. Our members live by our 3 pillars of Music, Friendship, and Harmony. Though we are a Professional Fraternity we do facilitate social events for members and students at Butler.
